Victor Wanyama heading for Tottenham exit?

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly planning an approach to sign Kenya international Victor Wanyama from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old had a tough 2017/18 campaign where a pre-season injury restricted him to just eight Premier League starts under Mauricio Pochettino.

According to SportBild, new Dortmund boss has already begun his recruitment drive and Wanyama is among the prime targets on his summer shortlist.

However, Spurs remain reluctant to part ways with the former Southampton star, considering Mousa Dembele has also been linked with a potential move elsewhere.

Spurs are expecting the exits of Toby Alderweireld and Dembele during the summer transfer window and Pochettino is unlikely to fancy losing another key player from the club's ranks.

Wanyama is currently on a break following the end of the Premier League campaign but he could be one of the players to start the league opener next term with the likes of Eric Dier on World Cup duty.
