Leicester City to sign James Maddison?
Leicester City have reportedly beaten Southampton to the services of highly-rated midfielder James Maddison from Norwich City.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest properties outside of the English top-flight after a wonderful breakthrough season with Norwich City where he contributed 22 goals in the Championship.
As a result, he has attracted plenty of Premier League interest but according to The Sun, the Foxes have seen off the competition to pursue the former Coventry ace.
Leicester are understood to have agreed on a £24m package for Norwich's 2017/18 Player of the Year and the move is likely to be finalised this week.
Maddison's arrival is expected to increase the Foxes' spending to £50m for the summer but this is likely to be compensated by the exit of star winger Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian has been desperate to leave the Foxes over the past year and he is expected to have his wish granted after declining to extend his contract with the club.
