Manchester United to swoop for Chelsea winger?

Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly prepared to retain the club's interest in signing Chelsea star Willian this summer.

The Brazil international has been one of the Blues' most influential players over the past five seasons but he is said to be considering his future amid his reduced gametime under Antonio Conte last term.

Overall, Willian managed just 20 league starts under Conte last season and towards the end of the campaign, there has been the talk of a rift between him and the manager.

According to The Sun, United intend to pounce on the uncertainty over Willian's future and they are prepared to pay as much as £60m to tempt the Blues into a sale.

Chelsea sanctioned Nemanja Matic's move to Old Trafford last summer and there could be a possibility with Willian, should he decline to extend his contract beyond June 2020.

Willian is presently with the Brazilian national side at the summer World Cup and he recently started in the 1-1 draw against Switzerland in their opening game.
