West Ham United favourites to sign Arsenal star
West Ham United are reportedly leading the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on a free transfer next month. The England international has failed to agree upon a new deal with the Gunners following a personal meeting with manager Unai Emery.
Wilshere has stayed quiet regarding his future over the past few weeks but The Sun suggests that he is likely to leave the Gunners on a free transfer after they declined to increase on their £100,000-a-week offer.
As such, there has been widespread interest from the likes of Juventus, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton but the Hammers are now said to be leading the race.
New Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is said to be a huge admirer of the Gunners graduate and he is prepared to present him with a £130,000-a-week deal amid his desire to stay in the English capital.
Manchester United have recently emerged as shock contenders to pursue the Arsenal ace but Jose Mourinho is unlikely to guarantee the regular time Wilshere craves for.
