Serie A midfielder boards flight to London amid Chelsea transfer link
Napoli midfielder Jorginho is said to have boarded a flight to the English capital amid the ongoing speculation of a move to Chelsea.
Earlier last month, Manchester City were hot on the trail of the midfielder with his agent confirming the discussions but talks have since stalled with the Citizens reluctant to match Napoli's valuation.
As a result, the Blues are said to have jumped ahead of the queue to sign the former Verona man and reports have suggested that they may pursue both manager Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho from the Naples outfit.
According to CalcioNapoli24, Jorginho is now understood to have boarded a flight to London and the Blues may have managed to hijack the deal from the clutches of City.
Nevertheless, they are likely to part with a sum of around £57.5m for the midfielder whilst a further £8m could be spent to release Sarri from his existing contract at Napoli.
Antonio Conte, for now, remains the head coach at Stamford Bridge but this could change in the coming days with Sarri being the preferred choice to take the club forward next season.
