Chelsea to offload Luiz for Italian defender?
Chelsea are ready to sell Brazilian defender David Luiz as they get close to buying Italian and Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, according to Mirror Football.
Chelsea are looking to sell the Brazilian who had a troubled season last time out. The Brazilian made only 15 appearances in an injury-plagued season.
No destination has been decided for the Brazil national, but Arsenal reportedly failed with £17m bid for the player in January. The move for Rugani is said to be at the command of Maurizio Sarri, who is reportedly on his way to Stamford Bridge.
However, outgoing boss Antonio Conte is currently overseeing the training session as the Blues prepare for the start of the new Premier League season in August.
The former Napoli boss worked with Rugani at Empoli and is looking to continue the working relationship. Chelsea are hoping to land the 23-year-old, who played 22 Serie A games last season for £35m.
