Real Madrid formally respond to Neymar speculation

Neymar not on Real Madrid radar

Real Madrid have released an official statement where they have denied any interest in acquiring Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer window.

The Brazil international only joined Les Parisiens for a world-record fee from Barcelona last summer but he has been linked with a surprise exit amid claims of being unsettled.

As a result, Los Blancos have been touted as potential candidates to pursue him as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo but they have now formally dismissed any interest in the Brazilian.

"Given the constant information linking the PSG player Neymar Jr. with our club, Real Madrid CF wants to clarify that he has no plans to make any offers for the player," read a statement on the club's official website.

Eden Hazard has been the other player strongly linked with the European champions but so far, Julen Lopetegui have not categorically ruled out any move for the Belgium international.

The 27-year-old has recently admitted that any player would fancy a dream move to the Champions League holders irrespective of the change of the management.
