Wolves on cusp of signing former West Ham midfielder
Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the cusp of luring Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario from Inter Milan this summer.
Mario spent the second half of last season on loan with West Ham United where he impressed with two goals in 13 appearances but the Hammers decided against pursuing a permanent deal for his services.
As a result, his future has been hanging in the balance in recent weeks but he is now seemingly on the verge of a move to the west Midlands, BeIN Sports journalist John Fereira claims.
As per the Frenchman, Wolves are prepared to sanction a club-record deal for the Euro 2016 winner and the deal may be finalised before the end of the weekend.
Wolves, who sealed automatic promotion to the Premier League last term, already have six Portuguese players in their ranks including Rui Patricio, who joined them on a free last month.
