Liverpool make formal bid for Serie A goalkeeper
Liverpool have made a formal bid to sign goalkeeper Alisson from AS Roma this summer. The 25-year-old was recently part of the Brazilian national side which reached the quarter-final of the World Cup.
Jurgen Klopp's side have been heavily linked with the shot-stopper since the close of the previous season and according to The Telegraph, they have now made a formal approach to secure his services.
The Reds are said to have offered a £62m package where they would be paying £53m upfront and they are optimistic of striking a deal despite Roma wanting more for their shot-stopper.
Alisson has remained mum regarding his future over the past few weeks but his agent is understood to be in discussions with Roma's hierarchy to push through a summer exit.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the Brazil international as they weigh up the future of Thibaut Courtois. Courtois has just a year left on his existing deal with the Blues.
