Olivier Giroud keen to fight for his Chelsea future
Olivier Giroud has reportedly decided to stay put with Chelsea despite being offered the chance to leave Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window.
The Frenchman made the switch from Arsenal in January and he went on to win the FA Cup with the Blues - the fourth overall of his club career.
Despite this, his future has come under question with Maurizio Sarri not rating him highly but the 31-year-old has decided to honour the final year of his contract.
According to The Mail, both Atletico Madrid and Marseille have lodged bids for the former Gunners but their efforts are likely to end in vain with Giroud having no plans of leaving the English capital.
Giroud had previously been offered the opportunity of joining Borussia Dortmund whilst at Arsenal but the Frenchman declined the prospect with his wife not keen on securing a move away from London.
Sarri is currently on the search for a new marksman before the transfer deadline and whoever comes in should displace Giroud from the starting lineup for the 2018/19 campaign.
