Chelsea reward Spanish midfielder with a new contract
Chelsea have reportedly rewarded Pedro with a one-year extension on his existing deal. The Spain international has now committed his future to the Blues until June 2020.
Pedro has produced a mixed showing during his three seasons at Stamford Bridge but he has nevertheless found success, helping the side to one Premier League title and one FA Cup.
"It is very good for me, I am really happy here in the club, with my teammates, the supporters and the club in general," Pedro told the Blues' official website following the extension.
Chelsea have had a quiet transfer window with just one major signing in the form of Jorginho but manager Maurizio Sarri is likely to make the push for more recruits before the transfer deadline.
Of late, Juventus' Daniele Rugani has been strongly tipped to join the west London giants but the Italy international has yet to make his mind up over the proposed transfer.
