Ben Gibson to move to Burnley

Burnley are on the cusp of agreeing a move to sign Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson in a deal worth a reported £15 million. The highly rated centre-back has only just signed a new contract with Boro, but has decided that his long-term future should be with Premier League side Burnley instead, with negotiations set to complete tomorrow afternoon.

So far this transfer window, Burnley and club manager Sean Dyche have been very frustrated in their search for new players but look set to end that with a move for Middlesbrough star Ben Gibson.

The 25-year-old, who has been on the books at Boro since 2005, has represented England's youth sides from under-17 level all the way through to under-21 and now is hoping that a move to Burnley will give him the opportunity to show his talents in the Premier League once more. Gibson had spent the 2016-17 season with Boro in the English top flight, but opted to stay with the club after relegation the following season.
