Chelsea to stick with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois
Chelsea have reportedly decided against the sale of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after failing to find a suitable replacement in the transfer market.
The Belgium has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer following a strong showing for his nation at the World Cup.
However, according to The Star, the shot-stopper now appears set to remain for the final year of his contract with the Blues, who have failed to find a potential successor between the sticks.
Alisson had been the prime target for the Blues shortly after the World Cup but their approach went in vain after the Brazilian opted to join Liverpool from AS Roma instead.
Maurizio Sarri's side have since been linked with a possible move for Everton's Jordan Pickford, though the Toffees have no plans of parting way with the England international.
Courtois has been with Chelsea since the summer of 2011 but he only made his debut in 2014 after spending three seasons on loan with Atletico Madrid. He has so far refused to extend his deal beyond June 2019.
