Chelsea to hold talks with attacker over future

Eden Hazard news

Chelsea will hold talks with winger Eden Hazard over £300,000-a-week contract meant to keep him at Stamford Bridge, according to the Sunday Times.

The talks are expected to hold on Monday and will center on convincing him to change his mind about joining Real Madrid.

Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but the speculations have cooled down in recent days after the Champions League holders reportedly backed out due to Chelsea's huge demand of £200m for the Belgian.

According to reports, Sarri has always wanted Hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge as he looks to better the performance of Antonio Conte who was sacked after failing to impress the Chelsea hierarchy.

Hazard has spoken favourably of playing for Real and the Spanish side see him as a good replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who has joined Juventus after nine years at the Bernabeu.

With few days to the close of the transfer window in England, it is highly unlikely the Blues will let him go if they can't get a replacement for the World Cup star.
