Chelsea defender joins Nantes on loan
Chelsea have reportedly allowed Matt Miazga to join Nantes on a season-long loan. The 23-year-old has spent the past two seasons on loan with Vitesse Arnhem and he has now taken up a temporary challenge in the French Ligue 1.
Earlier this year, Miazga indicated that he is prepared to vie for a regular role with the Blues first-team but unfortunately, he has not been able to break into Maurizio Sarri's side.
The 23-year-old has now been loaned out to Nantes for the 2018/19 campaign and the French outfit supposedly have an option to buy him on a permanent basis next summer.
Nantes have made good progress in the French top-flight having finished in the top half of the standings in the past two seasons and Miazga could play an influential role in them replicating the feat next term.
The French outfit are presently under the management of Miguel Cardoso after Claudio Ranieri parted ways with the club at the end of the previous campaign.
