Arsenal defender heading for Fulham loan
Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Fulham to loan defender Calum Chambers. The England international only penned a new contract earlier this summer but he has now been allowed to pursue a temporary deal at Craven Cottage.
According to Sky Sports News, the Cottagers have reached an agreement over a season-long loan for the versatile defender and the deal is expected to go through in the next 24 hours.
Chambers featured extensively during the Gunners' pre-season but he is said to have accepted the temporary challenge after failing to receive assurances of regular gametime next term.
The former Southampton graduate has been with the Gunners over the past four years and during this period, he has managed just 83 appearances across all competitions.
He made 24 starts during his previous loan spell with Middlesbrough between 2016 and 2017 and the upcoming stint could enhance his prospects of regular first-team football under Emery in the future.
