Chelsea star remains keen on Real Madrid move
Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has reportedly reiterated his ambition to join Real Madrid during the ongoing transfer window.
The Belgium international has entered the final year of his contract with the Blues but the club have remained reluctant to offload him with a replacement yet to be found.
Despite this, Courtois remains keen on pushing through a summer exit and he has discussed the same with Maurizio Sarri earlier in the day, ESPN FC reports.
Courtois spent three seasons on loan in Madrid with Atletico between 2011 and 2014 and he has since spoken regularly about the prospect of returning to the Spanish capital where his children are resided.
As things stand, Real Madrid could be prepared to pay as much as £32m for the Belgian but the deal hinges on whether a suitable replacement is found.
Stoke City's Jack Butland has been highlighted as a possible target before the English transfer deadline but the Potters could be reluctant to sanction his sale at a short notice.
