Burnley have completed a transfer of striker Matej Vydra from Championship side Derby County. The forward has arrived at Turf Moor in a deal worth a reported £5 million and has signed on the dotted line for a three-year contract with the Clarets.

Vydra had been deemed surplus to requirements at Derby.

The highly rated 26 year old will be delighted to have returned to the Premier League, where he has previously enjoyed a spell with former club Watford, and told reporters after signing the deal:

"For the last four years I have been fighting to be in the Premier League.

"I haven't done it with the teams I was playing for and sometimes it has to be done with a transfer and now I'm so happy."

According to reports, Burnley's transfer business is in no way complete and yesterday the club have also wrapped up a deal to sign England international goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City in a cut price deal.
