Manchester United target close to a new deal

Harry Maguire news

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is close to a new deal that will see him collect £75,000 every week.

The England international was reportedly the subject of two failed bids from Manchester United before the closure of the transfer window in England on August 9.

According to the Telegraph, talks have been going on with the player's representatives, even prior to the World Cup and the club is hopeful of a resolution later this month.

He played the full 90 minutes in his side's opening day loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford and this new deal will significantly increase his pay.

Maguire was keen on a move to United before the transfer window closed, but may have lost his chance to play for a higher club in the next few years.

However, there is no saying that United or any other top club will not come for his signature if he continues to impress at both club and international level.
