Barcelona to halt Paul Pogba move

Paul Pogba news

Barcelona will not be making a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

The director of the Spanish side Ariedo Braida has made this known with the transfer window closing by the end of this month. He also praised the abilities of the World Cup winner.

“I don’t think we’re going to move for Pogba, but he’s a great player,” said Braida, the Mirror reports.

It is said that Barcelona will still keep tabs on the former Juventus midfielder who is having a difficult time with Mourinho, although the Portuguese manager has poured cold water on the idea that there are problems between the pair.

Pogba scored from the penalty spot in United's opening Premier League win over Leicester City last Friday.

The United academy graduate did very well as France went all the way at the World Cup in Russia, and if he is able to enjoy his football under Jose this season, it will probably dispel all the rumours linking him with a move out of Old Trafford.

Enjoying his football will likely mean that United are more attacking in their play and give the Frenchman a free role in the team.
