Wilfried Zaha pens new Crystal Palace contract
Ivorian forward Wilfried Zaha has committed his long-term future to Crystal Palace by signing a fresh five-year contract.
The 25-year-old had attracted interest from both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea during the summer but ultimately, a deal never materialised.
Thereafter, the 25-year-old confirmed that talks are underway regarding an extension and the Eagles have now announced the winger has pledged his long-term future to the south London outfit.
"This agreement is yet another example of his lifelong commitment to the club, and our commitment to him. This is an amazing day for everyone here at Palace, our supporters and of course Wilf – and is richly deserved." chairman Steve Parish told the club's official website.
Zaha has netted 44 goals for Palace in over 280 appearances which have come across two spells. He has also been named the club's Player of the Year in each of the last three campaigns.
Zaha enjoyed his best-ever scoring season last term with nine goals in the Premier League and he has begun the new campaign on a strong note, scoring in the 2-0 away triumph at Fulham.
