Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has revealed that he is hoping to repeat the success he has had in football in recent years.

Since 2015, the Frenchman's career has risen astronomically, having won successive Premier League titles in 2016 and 2017, the FA Cup in May 2018, and the Russia World Cup in July.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said: “Whatever you did in the past is quickly forgotten. We all have to go again and prove we are worthy of our position. So, yeah, hopefully, I am able to do that again.”

He was an important member of the French World Cup squad, doing the dirty work that enabled Paul Pogba to enjoy his game and support the attack more.

He has been linked with a move out of Stamford Bridge, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly interested in bringing him to France.

Kante played the full 90 minutes against Huddersfield Town over the weekend, scoring the first goal as the Blues won the game by three goals to nothing.
