Mourinho doubts Darmian departure
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has said that he does not think Matteo Darmian will leave Old Trafford this summer.
Darmian had been linked with a move to Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan, but with the Italian transfer window closed, a move back home this summer is impossible.
"I don't think he will go and he cannot have any bad feeling towards us because we opened the door for him in case his desire was to go," Mourinho said, The Sun reports.
The Portuguese went ahead to add that it is a good thing the former Torino man is with the squad as he provides options for the coach.
After playing in United's Premier League opener against Leicester City, Darmian is expected to feature in United's game with Brighton and Hove Albion in the absence of captain Antonio Valencia and new boy Diogo Dalot.
Darmian can still move away from United with the transfer window in Spain still open, but no bids or interest have emerged from the Spanish La Liga.
