Jose Mourinho reacts to Brighton defeat
Manchester United coach has said that his side made too many mistakes in their 3-2 Premier League loss to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy gave Chris Hughton's side a two goal lead inside 27 minutes.
Lukaku got one back for United in the 34th minute before Pascal Gross made it 3-1 from the penalty spot just before halftime. Paul Pogba got another consolation for United via the penalty spot in added time in the second half.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Jose said: "Too many mistakes. We were punished by the mistakes. Sometimes you make mistakes and are not punished but we were punished by every mistake we made."
The defeat means that United failed to capitalise on the opportunity to get six points together with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.
After a not too convincing opening day victory over Leicester City, Jose Mourinho's men took a step back against Brighton, playing very badly and conceding avoidable goals.
The Red Devils' next Premier League game will be against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, the 27th of August.
