Chelsea rejected deadline day bid from Spurs for young striker
Chelsea are reported to have turned down a £25m offer from Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Tammy Abraham on transfer deadline day.
Spurs endured a frustrating summer where they failed to make a single signing but Abraham is deemed to have emerged as an option during the dying stages o of the summer transfer window.
According to Goal.com, the north London club placed a bid of around £25m for Abraham on deadline day but the offer was swiftly rejected by the FA Cup holders.
Abraham has struggled to make much progress in terms of breaking into the Blues first-team but he has recently suggested that he is prepared to give his all to make an impression with the club.
At present, Abraham is the third-choice striker at Stamford Bridge with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud certain to feature ahead of him during the course of the 2018/19 season.
