Chris Waddle expects more from Wolves after Manchester City draw
Former Tottenham Hotspur player turned pundit Chris Waddle has said that Wolverhampton Wanderers will pick some 'good points' in the ongoing Premier League campaign after their 1-1 draw with champions Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Wolves took the lead through Willy Boly early in the second half before Aymeric Laporte scored his first City goal to equalise the score in the 69th minute.
Waddle highlighted City's dominance in the game, but praised Wolves' fighting spirit that earned them a point.
"City dominated the game but Wolves dug in deep, they were full of energy and they will pick up some good points this season," he said, BBC reports.
After sweeping aside Arsenal and Huddersfield Town in their opening two Premier League games, the Citizens were brought back to earth by a team who had just a point heading into today's clash.
This result will give other teams, both big and small, the belief that Pep Guardiola's men are not invincible and can be given a run for their money.
