Mourinho decides if Pogba can take United's next penalty after Burnley failure
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has backed midfielder Paul Pogba to take his side's next penalty if he wants.
He made this known after the Frenchman had his spot kick saved by Joe Hart in United's two nil win over Burnley last weekend.
“If he wants [to take the next one], yes," Jose Mourinho is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.
Pogba failed to score the penalty when United were already two goals up courtesy of double strikes from Romelu Lukaku in the first half.
Had Lukaku been given the penalty, he would have had the opportunity to score a hat trick and take his goals tally this season to four.
Pogba missed the penalty on his third attempt this season after scoring from the spot against Leicester City and Brighton and Hove Albion in United's first two league games this term.
With the football world heading for the international break, Pogba will join his French teammates for the first time since they won the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
