Pogba still has a lot to prove Premier League wise - Wright

Arsenal legend-turned-pundit Ian Wright believes Paul Pogba still has plenty to prove in the Premier League despite being a World Cup winner with France this summer.

Pogba has been a consistent performer for Les Bleus over the years and he was impressive for his nation at the summer World Cup where he scored one of the goals in the final triumph over Croatia.

However, since returning to club duty, he has struggled to replicate his showing and Wright feels the Frenchman still has room for improvement when it comes to Premier League football.

"He's a great player, and he's a World Cup winner. He has come back and has proven that he is that guy. But if Paul Pogba left in January, and we looked back at his Premier League CV, would you say he has been brilliant here? He still has a lot to prove!" he told Sky Sports News.

Pogba recently refused to rule out a potential move from Old Trafford in January and this is likely to attract interest from the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.

Nonetheless, sources elsewhere suggest that both Pogba and Jose Mourinho have called a truce and the midfielder could stay put until the end of the season at the least.

Pogba has netted twice for United from the penalty spot since the start of the season but he has still been criticised for his poor showing from open play for the Red Devils.
