David Silva has indicated that he does not plan to see out his playing career with Manchester City.

The former Spain international presently has under two years remaining on his existing contract and he has suggested that he would like to finish his career in his homeland.

In a report covered by BBC Sport, Silva highlighted that he would like to return to Gran Canaria for the final phase of his career with Las Palmas being his likely destination.

"For City [I want to play for] two more seasons - what's left on my contract," he told BBC Sport. "After that, I don't know.  I've always said that I'd like to play for Las Palmas - my local team."

Silva has already contributed a goal for Manchester City in three league games this term. He is expected to retain his position when the Citizens entertain Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
