Herrera back for Derby visit

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the club would be able to bank on the services of Ander Herrera when they host Derby County in the League Cup third round on Tuesday night.

The Spain international has been sidelined with an ankle problem since the 2-0 victory over Burnley before the international break but Mourinho has confirmed via MUTV that he will return for the midweek clash.

Aside from him, Diogo Dalot is set to make only his second appearance for United against Derby whilst Nemanja Matic should also be in contention after serving a one-match ban for his red card offence against Watford earlier this month.

Barring this, Marcos Rojo remains in the treatment room after sustaining a recurrence of his knee injury in an Under 23 game while Marcus Rashford will also miss the Cup tie as a result of a three-man suspension which concludes with the visit of Frank Lampard's side.
