Man City to hijack move for Brazilian forward Rodrygo?
Man City have deployed the club's top two scouts to monitor the progress of 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Rodrygo Goes. The Santos player, who has been linkened to current City star Gabriel Jesus, has scored 6 goals in 25 games for the Brazilian club and has been tracked by many of Europe's top clubs.
Real Madrid were believed to have agreed a transfer fee to sign Rodrygo in the summer of 2019, but Man City are now hopeful that they can instead sign the player and will attempt to make a new agreement with Santos and Real.
According to reports from Brazil, it is understood that City are in pole position to make an eventual move for Rodrygo and the club are already weighing up an enormous $55 million USD transfer move for the versatile attacker. Rodrygo is comfortable playing on either the left flank or up front and could be seen as an eventual replacement for Argentinian striker and top scorer Sergio Aguero.
Real Madrid had agreed a transfer for the player last summer, but will be tempted by City's interest an possibly making a profit on a player they have agreed a deal for only two months ago.
