Scholes slams Man Utd defenders

Manchester United club legend Paul Scholes has slammed the signings of Victor Lindelhof and Eric Bailly; telling reporters that he believes both defenders have yet to produce the form necessary. The Premier League club moved for Swedish defender Lindelhof and Frenchman Bailly in transfer deals worth a total of £60 million.

Paul Scholes, who has been previously very vocal regarding Man Utd and his concerns regarding the way the club has been run, has told BT Sport: “Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly especially haven’t seemed to be good enough, it’s early days for people like Fred. You have to give him time.”

It is understood that Lindelhof, despite his recent emergence into United's first-team under Jose Mourinho, has even indicated previously that he would like to move away from Old Trafford in search of recent first-team football.

Man United are currently struggling and sit within their worst Premier League start to a season in many years and there are today rumours that Jose Mourinho could be set for the Old Trafford exit door in a matter of days.
