Real Madrid planning shock move for Arsenal star?
European champions Real Madrid have reportedly emerged as shock contenders to sign Aaron Ramsey when his Arsenal contract expires in the summer.
The Welshman has been in a contract standoff with the Gunners since the turn of the year and a recent report from The Mirror has indicated that the talks have broken down altogether.
As a result, there have been claims that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp may seek to convince Ramsey to head to Anfield on a free next summer but the Reds could now face competition from Real Madrid
The Champions League holders are said to consider Ramsey as a potential long-term replacement for one of Toni Kroos or Luka Modric and compatriot Gareth Bale is understood to be influencing the club's approach, TEAMtalk claims.
Ramsey is free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club at the start of 2019 and this should provide Los Blancos with the advantage, if they find themselves in a straight tussle with Klopp's side.
