Cesc Fabregas heading for Chelsea departure?
Spain international Cesc Fabregas has reportedly instructed his representative to look up a fresh challenge elsewhere with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has endured a frustrating start to the current campaign where he has failed to make a single Premier League appearance and this has come about due to the added competition from summer signings Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Fabregas is more than eager to stay put with the Blues but the lack of progress in contract talks has meant that the midfielder has put a contingency plan into place.
It is added that clubs in the United States and Spain are interested in his signature and it remains to be seen whether he would ply his trade outside of Europe for the first time in his career.
Fabregas is one of the players expected to feature against Hungarians Videoton whom the Blues host in their second game of the Europa League group stage tonight.
