Aaron Ramsey won't push for Arsenal exit
Wales international Aaron Ramsey has indicated that he won't push for a winter exit from Arsenal despite his contract expiring at the end of the campaign.
The 27-year-old has failed to reach an agreement over a contract extension in the past year and reports have recently indicated that the talks have broken down altogether.
Amidst this, Ramsey has been linked with a winter exit with Liverpool and Manchester United among those interested but he has now suggested that he would like to achieve something special during his final months with the club.
"I am contracted to Arsenal and I am going to do my best this season to achieve something special. That's a decision that they have made - things happen in football and you just have to get on with it and carry on playing the best you can," he said via The Telegraph.
Ramsey started the season in a slow fashion under Unai Emery but he has picked up form over the past few matches and most recently bagged a goal and an assist from the bench during the 5-1 mauling of Fulham.
He is presently on international duty with Wales, who suffered a thumping 4-1 defeat to Spain in a friendly yesterday. The Euro 2016 semi finalists are scheduled to face Republic of Ireland in the Nations League next week.
