Ross Barkley reacts after Chelsea draw versus Manchester United
Chelsea attacker Ross Barkley has admitted that he is pleased with the result against Manchester United despite the Blues only managing a 2-2 Premier League draw on Saturday.
The Blues took a first-half advantage with them after Antonio Rudiger scored from a corner but they were pegged back in the second period where Anthony Martial bagged a brace.
The hosts appeared on course to suffer a rare defeat at Stamford Bridge to United but they managed to save their grace with Barkley equalising from short range during the dying seconds of the game.
Following the match, Barkley admitted that the result could have been better but he is pleased with his performance and the attitude showed by his teammates to recover from the deficit.
"My confidence has grown but our target was to win the game so it is disappointing. We showed great attitude at the end," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
Barkley has now netted in back-to-back Premier League matches for the Blues. He previously accomplished the feat three years ago with former club Everton.
