Tahith Chong: has the potential to become a world class player

Manchester United wonderkid Tahith Chong had caught the eye of many football scouts across the world before deciding to make a move to Old Trafford, with United beating Real Madrid and Juventus to sign the Curacao-born teenager in 2016. The 18-year-old now looks set to burst on to the scene at United, with the club ready to put the youngster in the first-team over the coming weeks.

Chong had suffered a knee injury during his first season at the club but has recovered back to full fitness since then and has been a regular for Man Utd's under-23 side. Manager Jose Mourinho has instructed the club's board to do all that they can to secure Chong to a fresh contract after impressing during reserve team games.

The former Feyenoord attacker is famous for his pace and dribbling skill and the club's coaches are confident that the teenager will eventually oust the likes of Alexis Sanchez from the first-team.

United are currently locked in contract talks with Chong and he is expected to pen a brand new deal at the club shortly, leaving the likes of Real and Juve set to be disappointed in their efforts to sign the talented attacker once more.

Chong, who is most confident playing on the right-side of attack, has represented the Netherlands at every single level up to under-20's and is seen by many to be one player who can help the struggling Dutch national team rekindle good form once more.

Chong prefers to play on the right, but is primarily left footed. He is strong in attack and uses his pace and dribbling skill to burst through defensive lines.
