Terry: Chelsea can win league

Chelsea defender John Terry believes that the Blues could complete a miraculous recovery and win the Premiership. Many had written off Chelsea in the early stages of the season, but a 6-1 defeat over Derby earlier in the week has boosted confidence in the Chelsea camp; and Terry feels the Blues can mount a Premiership challenge.

“If we can win at Sunderland on Saturday and then again against Spurs next week we will be at most two points behind Arsenal with them still to come to Stamford Bridge. So overtaking the league leaders is in our hands.

“We are three points behind United and they still have to come to Stamford Bridge. Their goal difference is better than ours so we’ll probably have to have another result better than them to overtake them, but that’s always possible.

“After all, just recently they lost at West Ham and we won there. So if we all remain together, hungry, disciplined and focused, we can move up The Premier League. And when your starting position is third, moving up is pretty much going to the top.”
