Maurizio Sarri reacts to Alvaro Morata's performance vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that Alvaro Morata can still improve despite bagging a brace during the recent Premier League meeting versus Crystal Palace.
The Spain international was criticised during the early part of the season for misfiring in front of goal but he has found form of late with five goals coming from his previous six matches.
Among those, two came during the recent 3-1 triumph over Crystal Palace, though he could have had a hat-trick after spurning a late opportunity to accomplish the achievement.
Speaking after the game, Sarri was pleased with the confidence gained by the marksman but believes there is more to come from the Spaniard in the forthcoming months.
"Alvaro improved in the last month. Improved for the confidence, improved for personality, also from the technical point of view. Now he’s able to play more with the team. He can improve more." he said.
Chelsea picked up a much-anticipated win over Crystal Palace in the London derby on Sunday and the victory has propelled them to second in the standings, two points behind league leaders Manchester City.
