Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur express interest in West Ham United ace
London giants Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring the progress of West Ham United ace Declan Rice with a view to a future approach for his services.
The 19-year-old graduated through the youth ranks as a central defender but under Manuel Pellegrini, he has been transformed into an effective option in the centre of the park.
Owing to this, the Hammers are said to have already made efforts to extend the youngster's contract but so far, they have had little success doing so with their latest offer of £15,000-a-week turned down.
According to The Mail, both Chelsea and Spurs are now tracking the proceedings of the Hammers graduate and they may seek to take advantage of his contract situation next year.
Rice was previously in the books of Chelsea as a youngster but he was released at the age of just 14 before he moved across London to join the Hammers academy. He currently has just eight months left on his existing deal.
