United plan fresh contract offer for Martial

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to make a fresh attempt to renew the contract of French attacker Anthony Martial.

The 22-year-old's current deal expires at the end of the season but the club have the option to extend it by a further 12 months by means of an extension clause.

Amidst this, talks are already underway regarding a probable extension and The Sun claims that the Red Devils are prepared to make a fresh approach to commit the Frenchman to a new long-term contract.

Martial is deemed to have already turned down a £160,000-a-week contract on the table and United are now preparing to offer him as much as £190,000-a-week to remain with the club for the next five years.

The Frenchman was out of contention under Jose Mourinho during the early part of the campaign but he has made himself a regular since October with five goals of key importance in the Premier League.
