Manchester City are reportedly keeping tabs on the proceedings of Real Madrid midfielder Isco, who is understood to be looking for a way out of the Bernabeu.

The Spain international was an influential figure under ex-Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane last term and he managed nine goals in 49 appearances for the club.

However, the ongoing season has not paved the same way and he is presently struggling to firm his position under Santiago Solari, having completed the full 90 minutes in a league game on only one occasion.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Citizens are keeping a close eye on the developments of the former Malaga man, who has been regarded as one of Pep Guardiola's long-term targets.

Nonetheless, a January move appears highly unlikely with Guardiola recently hinting that the squad could remain the same for the rest of the current campaign.

Manchester City have once more been impressive in the Premier League this term but they are only two points ahead of second-placed Liverpool at the top of the summit.
