Atletico Madrid planning move for Hazard?

Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering an approach for Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Thorgan Hazard.

The 25-year-old, who is the sibling of Chelsea's Eden Hazard, has been in fine form this campaign, contributing 11 goals and six assists from just 14 appearances for his side.

According to SportBild, the Belgian's impressive form has captured the attention of Atleti and they could make an approach for his signature in either January or at the end of the season.

Hazard presently has a contract with Monchengladbach until the summer of 2020 but he is understood to have the ambition of pursuing a bigger challenge elsewhere as he approaches the prime phase of his career.

The attacker initially made the move to Chelsea from Lens in the summer of 2012 but he failed to make a single appearance for the club before sealing the switch to Gladbach.

Aside from Atleti, German giants Borussia Dortmund are also weighing up an approach for the in-form attacker as they aim to strengthen their title prospects in the backend of the season.
