Callum Hudson-Odoi reacts after Chelsea's FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest
Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has said that he is hopeful of earning a regular run in the Premier League after producing a top performance during the Blues' 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round.
The teenage forward was handed a rare start by Maurizio Sarri in the FA Cup on Saturday and he managed to impress by setting up both goals for Alvaro Morata.
Speaking after the game, Hudson-Odoi highlighted that he is proud of getting another chance to represent the Blues and hopefully, the showing can provide the benchmark for regular gametime in the forthcoming matches.
"Hopefully, hopefully (in response to whether he would now receive more minutes). You never know. I feel really proud to get opportunity to play and help the team get the win we deserved," he told BeIN Sports.
Hudson-Odoi has been the subject of concrete transfer interest from Bayern Munich this month and the German champions are said to have recently lodged a £30m bid after witnessing their prior offers rebuffed.
Chelsea are yet to respond to the latest package from the Bavarian giants but there are reports indicating that the Blues may eventually be tempted to sanction the youngster's sale.
