Tottenham lining up shock move for Andy Carroll?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a surprise swoop for West Ham United forward Andy Carroll as they seek to cover up the void left by Harry Kane.
Spurs are expected to be without leading goalgetter Kane until March at the least after his ankle problem and this has reduced the options upfront with Son Heung-min currently on national team duty at the Asian Cup.
According to The Sun, Spurs are planning a potential move for Carroll, who could be available for a cut-price £2m fee with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Carroll has not found the scoresheet in the eight Premier League appearances for West Ham United this term but he has nonetheless become a regular of late amid doubts regarding Marko Arnautovic's future.
Arnautovic has been heavily tipped to pursue a move to the Chinese Super League this month but so far, none of the clubs from the Far East have been able to match the Hammers' £45m price tag.
