Gennaro Gattuso accepts Gonzalo Higuain's transfer decision
AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso has said that he has resigned to the fact that Gonzalo Higuain will be joining Chelsea during the ongoing transfer window.
The Argentina international is currently on a season-long loan with the Rossoneri but his contract is expected to be terminated before Juventus sanction his temporary deal to the Blues.
Amidst this, Gattuso has generally remained silent regarding the future of Higuain but he has now come out to confirm that the marksman has made his mind up for a fresh challenge.
"I accept his decision [joining Chelsea]. Surely he could have done more and maybe we could have helped him fit in better. I want to be honest with you all," he was quoted as saying by Sky Italia.
Higuain has not been in the best of form for the Rossoneri this term with just six league goals and he has a huge task on his hands with Chelsea once the move is made official.
The Argentine's arrival is expected to coincide with the departure of Alvaro Morata, who has already agreed terms with Atletico Madrid regarding an initial loan transfer this month.
