Alvaro Morata completes medical with Atletico Madrid

Spain international Alvaro Morata has reportedly completed his medical with Atletico Madrid ahead of his proposed switch from Chelsea.

The Blues recently completed the temporary signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus and reports have since indicated that Morata should make way from the west London side.

According to Marca, Morata has already undergone a successful medical with Atleti and the striker has personally confirmed that he is close to sealing his return to the Spanish La Liga.

Morata is scheduled to join the Europa League holders on an 18-month loan contract, although the Madrid giants have the option to buy him outright when the current season concludes.

The Spaniard has netted 24 times during his time with Chelsea but the move has not worked out with him being guilty of squandering numerous goalscoring opportunities.

Aside from Morata, Michy Batshuayi has also been tipped to part ways with the west London side with Everton considered as the leading candidates to end his nightmare stint.
