Arsenal tracking the performance of Serie A duo
Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on the performances of Serie A duo Suso and Nicolo Barella with a view to a possible approach in the summer.
The Gunners are expected to spend on new recruits at the end of the campaign with Aaron Ramsey expected to leave the club on a Bosman while Mesut Ozil could follow him through the exit door.
According to Calciomercato, the Gunners are looking into replacements for the above-mentioned duo with Cagliari's Barella and AC Milan's Suso identified as potential targets.
Suso has managed to transform his career since making the switch away from Liverpool and the promising form over the past few seasons has caught the eye of the Gunners hierarchy.
Likewise, Barella has made immense progress which has already led to calls for a regular role with the Italian national team and it may not be far before he pursues a bigger challenge elsewhere.
Despite the interest, the Gunners may have to first offload a couple of recruits within their squad, given Unai Emery is likely to be handed a restricted £40m budget where they may only afford Suso.
