Liverpool to make summer raid for Bundesliga attacker
Liverpool are reportedly planning to trigger the release clause of Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
The Germany international came close to joining the Reds during the previous campaign before Bayer convinced him to pen a new long-term contract.
This has, however, not ended the interest from the Premier League leaders and Bild claims that the Reds will return for his services at the end of the ongoing season.
The report adds that the 22-year-old had negotiated a reduced release clause of just £21.6m when signing the recent extension and this should make him an affordable option for Klopp's team.
Liverpool are currently top of the league standings after 28 games into the season but they have no means to relax, given Manchester City are behind them with a single-point difference.
Klopp's side are scheduled to face Everton on the road in the weekend's league meeting and the match could be tricky for them, given they have managed just one win frpm the past three league meetings.
