Mourinho open to rejoining Real

Former Manchester United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has opened the possibility of rejoining Real Madrid as their new head coach during the summer.

The Champions League holders have experienced a difficult La Liga campaign this term and they are currently 12 points behind Barcelona at the top of the league standings.

As a result, the club are likely to assess the position of Santiago Solari at the end of the season and reports have indicated that they have already begun the search for an experienced head coach.

Amidst this, Mourinho has said that he would welcome the possibility of managing the reigning European champions, should they offer him with the right structure and ambition going forward.

"To a club that I have been before? If I think the right club, the right structure, the right ambitions, I will have no problem at all," he told beINSPORTS.

"I think it's really a reason of pride when a club where you worked before wanting you back. They are the iconic club, I think so you know 13 Champions Leagues."

Real Madrid are currently with the chance of securing a fourth-straight Champions League crown but they face a stiff challenge from other elite sides including Barcelona, who have beaten them thrice this term.
